On March 5^th, College Relations hosted the first annual Professional Preparation Workshop for students from around the state.  Sponsored by Colorado SHRM and NCHRA, the event consisted of multiple breakout sessions, individualized feedback, and an HR Trends panel composed of local professionals. A group of about 10 professionals graciously gave up their Saturday in order to help critique resumes and provide quasi-individualized mock interviews. Prior to both breakout sessions, there were brief ten minute synopses on key takeaways in each area for the students. The industries represented on the HR Trends Panel included Healthcare, Government, Oil and Gas, and Employment Solutions. Students and advisors were very happy with the new Spring Semester event that replaced the traditional HR Games and provided positive feedback. We hope to have this event every year.
