Colorado SHRM State Council looks forward to seeing you at one of our two diversity conferences in 2010. During the luncheon at both conferences, a Colorado company in attendance will be awarded as the Colorado SHRM State Council Diversity Champion. Please complete the provided application and follow the guidelines below.

Step Up Your Game in Colorado Springs on August 11th and 12th. Please complete the application and e-mail it to Stacy Dvergsdal, Colorado SHRM State Council Diversity Director, by August 4th at noon, to diversity@coshrm.org.

Beyond the Surface – Leveraging Diversity and Inclusion in Loveland on September 21st. Please complete the application and e-mail it to Stacy Dvergsdal, Colorado SHRM State Council Diversity Director, by September 8th at noon, to diversity@coshrm.org.
The Colorado SHRM State Council Diversity Committee will review the applications and may contact one of your organizational members for an interview. We look forward to receiving your application and seeing you one of our conferences!

Time Warner Cable received the first ever Colorado SHRM State Council 2009 Diversity Champion Award at the Stand by Me Diversity Conference held in Colorado Springs. Dayna Piper, Director of Human Resources, was presented the award by Stacy Dvergsdal, Colorado SHRM State Council Diversity Director.

"An open environment blends the experiences, cultures, influences, languages and perspectives of our employees and customers into everyday business practices. It is the framework that helps us compete in today's multicultural marketplace."
- Strategic Alignment: Time Warner has strategically aligned their diversity initiatives with the organization’s overall strategies that include: Innovation, Marketing, and Customer Service.
- Business Benefit: Time Warner Cable’s diversity initiatives have led to increased creativity, better problem solving, more comprehensive consideration of alternatives, and higher quality ideas.
- Diversity Programs and Initiatives: Time Warner Cable has several diversity programs and initiatives in place. To highlight a few of their initiatives, Time Warner Cable requires that every management level employee attend Diversity & Inclusion for Leaders training. They take pride is selecting women and minority vendors. Time Warner Cable sponsors and participates in several community activities throughout the year. Recently, employees participated in the 16th Annual Palouse Pride & Diversity Festival celebrating Gay/Lesbian/Bi/Transgender visibility and rights. They produce a corporate and regional quarterly newsletter communicating all diversity efforts.
